I’m extremely excited, nervous, and curious for this movie. I did not like the way things wrapped up in the book and I’m interested to see how they’re going to translate this half of the book on the big screen. Catching Fire is still my favorite of the three movies so far but we’ll see if this one will top it.
- Aww Finnick and Annie
- man that’s such a cool outfit Katniss
- TURN YOUR WEAPONS TO THE CAPITAL
- it’s weird cause the book has more serious tone to it what with the consequences of war, but the movie is giving more of a epic vibe
- OMG PEETA, YOUR FACE
I’m pretty sure you can tell I’m excited for this movie. I’m sure the cast and crew will do the story justice and maybe even more.
What did you think of the trailer?
Okay, so I just saw the trailer from this post. And OMG, I am actually pretty excited now! For some reason, I’m starting to think J. Law’s voice is pretty soothing for it’s natural raspiness.

That is so true! I actually liked her singing The Hanging Tree in Part 1. It’s soothing to see her talk to her sister too haha.

Do you find it weird Shailene Woodley has a similar huskiness to her voice too (even though it’s not as raspy)? And I also find that both actresses are pretty in their own unique way (almost tomboyish/athletically pretty, if that makes sense). What is it with these ya dystopian films and casting similar people (in my head, at least)?

I actually liked Shailene’s huskiness because it’s husky but really clear at the same time. I thought it worked more for fault in our stars though. Her voice kind of reminds me of Anna Kendrick’s. And I know what you mean! I think that description really fits who their characters are though. Like Katniss has always had to hunt and Shailene kind of fits the Dauntless personality. I think that they were going for people that kind of look like the underdog (they’re both skinny) but they have “badass” expressions on their face lol if that makes sense.

I haven’t watched her TFiOS yet just because I haven’t read the book yet, but I bet you’re right! And good point, I think that’s exactly why they chose them. 🙂
