Literary Dinner Party Tag

This is probably one of my favorite book tags on Youtube. The original one was created by Renee at Nehomas2. Essentially, you are the host of a dinner party for fictional characters.

THE RULES: you must invite 11 guests, and there must be:
1. One character who can cook/likes to cook
2. One character who has money to fund the party
3. One character who might cause a scene
4. One character who is funny/amusing
5. One character who is super social/popular
6. One villain
7. One couple – doesn’t have to be romantic
8. One hero/heroine
9. One under-appreciated character
10. One character of your own choosing

In addition to the rules above, I’m just gonna add a little extra rule. Choose what type of setting your dinner is gonna take place at and tell me what you or one of your characters would wear to this dinner party OR create a menu for your party! 🙂

I’m gonna choose to have this dinner party at the Be Our Guest restaurant at Disney World because it’s so gorgeous and I’ve always love the castle from the movie. Just add a dance floor and fewer tables. I’d probably wear a black body con dress because it’s a fancy dinner.

1. One character who can cook/likes to cook

Nagika from Kitchen Princess series. Have you even seen the food she makes? It looks so delicious :3 and she can cook a variety of foods like complex cakes but also comfort foods that I’m sure everyone will like.

2. One character who has money to fund the party

Prince Kai from The Lunar Chronicles. He just deserves to let loose after everything that’s happen to him..lol..Plus he’s one of my favorite characters from the series.

3. One character who might cause a scene

Locke Lamora from The Gentlemen Bastards series; Locke would probably cause a scene by planning an elaborate trick to steal the whole building or steal something.

4. One character who is funny/amusing

Prince Frederic from The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom because he is so unintentionally funny. His definition of adventure is very tame, going outside is probably enough adventure for him. But he’s sweet and very bubbly and even funnier when he’s angry so he should be a fun guest. He also seems like a food connoisseur so that should be interesting.

5. One character who is super social/popular

Emma Woodhouse from Emma; this girl would be like the queen bee of the popular clique at school if she lived in modern times as seen with the movie Clueless. She’s snobby, elitist, and meddles way too much in people’s affairs. But I love her witty remarks and she would be a fascinating person to talk to.

6. A villian

Light Yagami from Deathnote series; this is debatable because he would probably fall more into the antihero category but some of his actions are just downright wrong. But his views on life are really interesting so I would just wanna talk to him.

7. A couple- doesn’t have to romantic

David and Megan from Firefight; they’re so freaking adorable and Megan can show us her awesome powers and David can tell us everything there is to know about Epics. Plus they deserve a break from their death defying escapades.

8. One hero/heroine

Spider-Gwen because I love Gwen Stacy (mostly the movie version lol) and I think the concept of Gwen instead of Peter being bitten by a spider is such a cool concept.

9. An underappreciated character

Jack Halloway from Fuzzy Nation; he’s hilarious and snarky and one of the more better written versions of the solitary type hero.

10. A character of your own choosing

Suzanna from The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy; she’d probably be my wingwoman all night. She’d also be the type of friend that jokingly judges everyone and would have something funny to say about all the guests.

It would actually be so awesome if Megan and Spidergwen go to talk, I feel like they would be at each other’s throats or become bffs. Kai would probably be extra irritated with Frederic but they could talk about princely duties and whatnot. I would also kill to see Locke and Suzanna be best friends.

This was so much fun to do! I tag anyone who wants to do it!! Link me your post when you do so I can see your answers!
